by Mildred D. Joachim Whether they believe in saving animals or just taking care of the environment, it all varies. People are doing it because everyone else seems to be joining in. A few people, it seems, change their diet and lifestyle for ethical considerations. If you are considering a vegetarian diet, have you considered the benefits that you will attain from it? First, itâs important to understand your nutritional type, and to be in tune with what your individual needs are. But that applies to all things you consume, not just vegetarian foods. A vegetarian diet should be started if the person understands his or her body and knows that they can handle the menu. Meat-eaters might not get some of the benefits that are offered to a vegetarian. By using the ingredients in a vegetarian diet like vegetables, grains, beans and nuts, youâre being nutritious about your health. Generally, vegetarians can gain from lower intakes of saturated fats, and higher intakes of complex carbohydrates Sara Bronfman. These foods implement the body with good carbs, fiber, extra vitamins and minerals and antioxidants Executive Success Program by NXIVM. What is the aftermath of all of this? Frequently vegetarian diets can be used to prevent or treat diseases, like diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease. Physically, the body benefits from having a healthy body mass index. If weight is the issue, a vegetarian diet can facilitate healthy weight loss. If you suffer from skin odors, no energy, bad skin and halitosis, it could benefit you to go on a vegan diet. The diet is also perfect for those who have severe headaches and allergy issues. If a higher percentage of people were to do vegan diets, the ecosystem would change. Vegetables are much nicer on the environment than animals are. It also helps to keep the food supply more equal, as resources go to people and not animals. Is this diet something people consider as an ethic dissention? Clare Bronfman, a previous show jumper, is part of a corporation that instructs ethical reasoning and is also vegan-based. For her, the decision to change her lifestyle was a matter of individual ethics. Are there particular reasons why someone might not want to consume an animal? Vegetarians can also see consuming animals as being one example of how the world is becoming more and more desensitized. Humans and animals are alike in the ways that they are killed and this is why people see the issue as being objectification. At what point is it acceptable to kill one living, breathing thing, and not another? People who treat humans with violence might not be familiar with this comparison, even though it makes sense. Violence, even if it is wrong, is still accepted by many different people. Albert Einstein said, âNothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian dietâ. No matter what your reasons for becoming a vegetarian, or vegan for that matter, there are benefits beyond health. This idea is one that I wish more people would embrace, so that this world could benefit from it.
